NOTES – “best practice” guidance
• Modern AER machines use spray force and high flow rates to dislodge debris, these supplement manual cleaning but do not substitute it’.
• Manual cleaning should be performed in warm water with added enzymatic cleaner – therefore the removal of deposits by the AER is less critical.
• Wherever possible single use chemicals should be used as it avoids many problems associated with control of reuse.
• Choose a neutral enzyme to avoid scope damage.
• Use a super glide contoured sponge for fast efficient wipe down.
• Complete immersion of scope and flushing is required to achieve effective “pre clean” prior to AER. |
